Benavidez Wedding
January 17, 1942 – June 3, 2016
He was always Muhammed Ali. He dropped Cassius before I was born. He was ALWAYS on TV…boxing or talking about boxing….
A favorite schoolyard game as kids was repeating Ali’s toasts/ raps…
“float like a butterfly sting like a bee you can’t hit what you can’t see….”
“I’m the greatest, I can’t be beat, fight with me and you’ll get a ringside seat”
“this is no jive. The fight will end in five.”

3 Little Pigs from TALES FROM THE CRYPT
How have I never seen this?
An animated episode of Tales from The Crypt. I loved reprints of EC Comics and I really liked the HBO show.
I never knew they made an animated episode. They made a G ( or PG) cartoon version of the show for Saturday mornings, Tales from the Cryptkeeper. I wonder if that same animation company made the ” pigs ” episode. That would seem to make sense ” hey guys- enough of the safe kiddie stuff, lets do something really sick”

How they did ” The Omen” stunt
How they did this:
at 1:52 when she hits the floor…. the “floor” was really a wall made up to look like a floor. The actress simply turned and walked into that wall.

Admiral Ackbar and Bib Fortuna, Dies At 94
http://epicstream.com/news/Erik-Bauersfeld-Voice-of-Admiral-Ackbar-and-Bib-Fortuna-Dies-At-94
American voice personality and Star Wars voice actor Erik Bauersfeld has passed away at the age of 94.
Bauersfeld is known for voicing Ackbar and Bib Fortuna in the Star Wars films. He also had an extensive background in radio dramas as he worked as the director of drama and literature at the San Francisco based KPFA radio station. He eventually ended up at Lucasfilm working on a radio project when he got the opportunity to try out for roles in the original Star Wars film trilogy that were in production at that time.
He originally auditioned for Yoda, a role which Frank Oz ultimately got. In Return of the Jedi, he uttered one of the most iconic lines of Star Wars dialogue ever, “It’s a trap”, as Admiral Ackbar (Tim Rose puppeteered the character on screen). Bauersfeld also performed the huttese dialogue spoken by Jabba the Hutt’s majordomo Bib Fortuna (who was portrayed by Michael Carter). He also voiced Ackbar in the video games Star Wars: X-Wing (1993) and Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron (2009). And just recently, he voiced Ackbar in The Force Awaknens.
You can watch Baursfeld’s interview in Peter Hartlaub’s video below:
