I don’t think anyone should trust a company named mediapalace.net

Some web research has shown me it is Round Rock Texas based video company run by someone named Eric Palacios.

They are liars and scam artists.

I noticed they are using an image from a wedding video I shot in a craigslist ad.

They are implying that they shot that wedding when they know I did.

If they need to lie about a wedding they shot, it seems to me that they must have NEVER shot a single wedding before. If they had shot a wedding, so much as ONE, why not use a frame from this ONE wedding in their advertising?

If they don’t have any experience in weddings, why should you want to hire them to do such a thing?

I looked at their youtube channel and I saw some local Round Rock soccer games and some boxing / martial arts matches. I must admit I saw some well done drone footage and a neat looking 3D animated commercial for a fighting DVD.

I didn’t see ONE wedding on their website or on their youtube channel.

Even if they did a BAD wedding video, they would at least had THAT one to pick at least ONE frame one for their advertising.

I can’t see why anyone would want to hire someone like Eric Palacios of mediapalace.net to make a video of their special day when he has (apparently) NEVER shot a wedding before and therefore has NO (seeming) experience at it.

I have been shooting and editing wedding videos since 1992. I have worked for lots of different companies and picked up decades of on the job experience. I have learned the hard way how to make great wedding videos under adverse conditions. I don’t need to lie or steal someones work to show what I can do. I only need to show the excellent work I have done and let it speak for itself.

This is the wedding video that I shot in 2015 that Eric Palacios of mediapalace.net stole a shot from and claimed that HE made when he knows he’s lying:

If media palace is willing to lie and mislead potential customers about this, what else would they be unethical about?

Beach Boy and legendary pop composer Brian Wilson did a concert at the Tobin in San Antonio, Texas on Dec 17, 2018.

Everyone loves the Beach Boys and I have been fascinated by the tales of Brian Wilson as a madman, recluse, mental patient and creator of very innovative pop melodies.

I loved the film ” Love and Mercy” and the many TV documentaries about him. The stoties of how he could create music while locked away in his home studio, but his mental issues prevented him from performing in live concerts.

The opening act was a pleasant 2 piece Irish act (Beat Root Revival ) singing and the man playing an acoustic guitar so well you almost thought there was a drummer accompanying them) and the woman beating on a hand held drum.

“As some of you might know I have been having some issues with my back that has very recently gotten worse. It runs in my family, Carl had back problems as well. My doctors have told me that I need to have back surgery immediately.They are optimistic that this will finally relieve the pain”

The curtain opened with Brian Wilson already seated behind the piano and an 11 piece backing band around him. A beautifully done set with lit Christmas trees and ribbons.

Maybe Wilson is so ill he cant walk?

His backing band was excellent, and seeing them was great. But Brian Wilson himself was barely there. Other people did all of the playing, and other people did all of the singing.

Brian sat there kinda catatonic. He didn’t seem to be playing the piano at all, and only sang on a few songs. He was physically front and center but performance wise he was a back up player. His band had people who could do great impersonations of his singing and playing, and they did a great job. But how is this a Brian Wilson concert?

Other band members even did the non singing stuff…

The ” hey howya doing” “Great to be here!” “Lets introduce the band!” bits were said by his backing players, not Wilson himself.

Real Beach Boy Al Jardine was right next Brian, so he could sing the Beach Boys songs and it was the voice we all remember.

The first half of the show was Christmas songs and the second half was old Beach Boys hits…. They did “God Only Knows” too early, it should have been the closer.

The curtain came down with Brian still in his seat. I am assuming someone brought him a wheel chair once the curtain blocked the crowds view.

Spider Verse and AquaMan

I saw 2 movies 2 nights in a row.

A sneak peak of AQUAMAN last night and “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” tonight.

Aquaman- eye candy for the ladies. A superhero who doesn’t need a rubber muscle suit. The movie reminded me a bit of THOR and the LOTR films…. epic conflicts between royals and the outsider upstart… So much of Aqua Man felt fake. Every scene felt like it was in a studio set or green screened, even scenes that would not seem to need to be fakes. Sitting on a boat, walking through an Italian town, walking on a beach. And I never felt all the numerous underwater scenes looked like they were really underwater.

Visually, it reminded me of “Finding Nemo” The Star Wars prequels ( in a bad way) and, sad to say, the dozens of other super hero movies of the past twenty years. I would say of Aquaman what I would say of the many other superhero epics: Bazillions of dollars in special effects that are no longer a rare thing. I can’t feel fear or concern for what the characters are going through if I don’t believe they’re really going through it.

People complained that the Star Wars prequels looked to cgi and artificial. It was a great relief, they said, that “The Force Awakens” and “Rogue One” used so many natural locations and minimal CGI.

Aquaman is CGI from start to finish, its almost like Roger Rabbit, live action characters inserted into animated backgrounds.

Good set up of the rivalry/ conflict between Black Manta and Aquaman. Black Manta was actually…. Black. Well why not?
