This is a documentary about “The Wrecking Crew.” I had heard of them, that it is THEM that is actually playing on PET SOUNDS and not the Beach Boys…. And I figured that EVERYONE knew that the Monkees were fakes ( fun fakes to be sure…) But I was surprised to learn how prevalent the fakery was everywhere in the music biz back then.

What I love best about this film is that I grew up hearing FM radio DJ’s praise the 1960s records as being such a revolutionary change from the 50’s and 40’s….
but this exposes how most of those records were done by producers and players from the 50’s and 40’s!
