I shot this footage with the time lapse feature on my iPhone. I made sure I used an iPhone tripod.

This was shot at the football field at Mathis High School in Mathis, Texas.

Even though I shot this is “time lapse” mode, it still wasn’t moving fast enough for me, so I adjusted the time stretch in Adobe after effects, and used adjustment layers to add contrast and desaturated color.

Even when I was still a conspiracy theorist, I never believed the Julie Anne Mercer story. It defies all logic. Stop a truck in the middle of a busy street, and have your killer get out and walk into position in front of dozens of witnesses?

Look at the first 10 seconds of this scene from the film “Executive Action.”

I’m not saying I believe this DID happen, I’m just saying this is a somewhat logical, much more believable way of getting the grassy knoll gunman into position

And in the movie JFK, Kevin Costner’s Garrison says he doesn’t want to bring in Julie Ann Mercer as a witness, because he doesn’t want her to wind up dead like all the other witnesses. IF there was a conspiracy, I think they would send an air conditioned limo with bulletproof windows to make sure Mercer got to court and told her ridiculous story. Oswalds backyard Photo shadows

I recreated the infamous Lee Harvey Oswald “Backyard Rifle Photos” in Photoshop.

I wanted to light it so that shadows dropped straight down Oswald’s nose AND see IF that caused the shadows at his feet.

One of the conspiracy theories is that the backyard photos of Oswald were faked – the evidence supposedly being that- why does the nose shadow go straight down when the leg shadows go backwards?

I wanted to see if an After Effects “3D Space” model that had lighting that caused straight down shadows on the nose would also cause the leg shadows to go backwards. ( I put in a thick nose that you probably can’t see in that wide shot).


I used a spot light and clicked “CAST SHADOWS” on the light. But it still doesn’t cast the shadows I wanted.
Any thoughts on how to cast these shadows?

A non-conspiratorial question about JFK’s convertible limousine. I am of the opinion that the car was only used for parades or public appearances. if Kennedy was back in Washington DC and for some reason he needed to get across town, he wouldn’t use that limousine, he would use a different kind of car? I assume that THAT car wasn’t so much a car, a transportation vehicle, as it was a parade float masquerading as a car. Kennedy wouldn’t drive around on a weekly basis in that limousine would he? Or am I completely off the mark? I have no idea

Matthew Kordelski…you are exactly right. The official SS 100X was generally used for motorcade/parades and matters of State. For general use….going to church on Sunday….a speech in DC, etc……SS shift cars were used and they had “nice” transport cars at their disposal to transport the President and the family. This appears to be Cadillac….but I really can’t tell.
