Some samples of my live sports videography from the past 5 years. I would like to make a video record of your live sporting event. I can do it on my own or as part of a team of camera operators.

I own my own 4K cameras (camcorders and DSLR’d) and my own editing equipment.

Some of this footage was show in HD (not 4K) but scaled up to 4K using Adobe After Effects’ “Detail preserve upscale).

I have since sold all my HD cameras and now shoot exclusively in 4K.

Edited with Adobe Premiere and some Adobe After Effects, opening and end titles made with Adobe Photoshop.

A visit to an 80’s themed pizzeria.

A visit to DARKSIDE PIZZA in Boerne, Texas. May 21, 2025.

Its a pretty good pizzeria in Boerne, Texas, a country down outside of San Antonio, Texas.

What makes it distinctive is that it is decorated as a tribute to 1980’s pop culture. Mannequins of the ET characters on BMX bikes, a Christopher Reeve Superman, and LOTs of totally amazing Star Wars stuff!

I shot this with an Apple iPhone and edited with Adobe Premiere Rush.

No, I don’t work there and this isn’t an ad. I just really dug this place!

Book Cover Animation, “Oswald As I knew him”

This is an un-authorized animated version of the book “Oswald as I Knew Him” written by George de Mohrenschildt (Author), Michael A. Rinella (Editor).

I did NOT do the actual book cover design. I downloaded the book cover artwork off of Amazon.com and cut it up into layers in Adobe Photoshop.

I mainly used the bezier pen tool to isolate the objects into layers. Some of the letter were isolated with Photoshop’s “Magic Wand” tool and other I just typed in using the IMPACT font ( heavily modified through scaling and kerning).

I imported the Adobe Photoshop (dot PSD) file into Adobe After Effects and animated them.

This piece of motion graphics may be used in a future podcast.

Thoughts on killing off Luke Skywalker???

Killing off the older but very fit Luke skywalker was the worst thing the Disney sequels did.

Yes mark hamill is the same age now as Alec Guinness was in 1977.

But I suspect the 2025 Hamill is fitter and healthier and more capable of doing action scenes than “an old man” from 1977 would be.

I don’t want them to ret- con his death, but they threw away a lot of potentially great action scenes from “old man mark hamill”

Colorize “March of the Wooden Soldiers”

I am against colorization on general principle BUT! Some of the surviving cast and crew of the old laurel and hardy movie “March of the Wooden Soldiers” ( aka “babes in Ryland”) said they WANTED that movie colorized! That the original set was in bright gorgeous colors and should have been seen in color.

They did a colorized version in the 1980’s but I think they could do a much better job today. Make a 4k transfer of the original and make both the color and B&W versions available.

Too Hot Audio

A while back I posted on here for advice on how to save a project that had its audio recorded “Too Hot”


I had an iphone lav mike plugged into MY iphone. I record sound this way all the time and it sounds great. The client said “why not use MY iphone so I can keep the audio files myself?”


I saw no harm in this. I have done THAT before, using the grooms iphone to record the vows at the wedding etc, and its always sounded good.


Murphys Law, this clients phone recorded way too high/ too hot. I have no idea what the difference was. I have reseached changing the audio level while recording with the iPhones “Voice Memo” app, and I have found no way to change the record level.

Something must have gone wrong with his particular phone. Using the same mike on MY iphone produced good results.


I tried just pushing the levels down, but the audio still sounded over modulated.
A lot of people on this forum recommended I buy and use “Isotope RX”


That seemed too expensive to buy for just one project.
I tried fixing it myself by experimenting with Adobe Premieres “essential sound filters”


In some cases I tried fixing/bringing down the lav mike audio


In other cases I tried dropping the lav track and just bringing up the camera sound ….


The sound was improved but still not professional quality. And some of it sounded too warped and robotic ( but maybe I just don’t know the right way to use it?).


The last time I posted about this, I got several offers from people who felt they could fix the sound. But I got distracted by other projects and didn’t keep their names/contact info.


So let me repeat my old offer/request…


Is there anyone here is an experienced user of Isotope RX ( or equivalent software ) and can fix my bad audio clips and give my client professional results? And if so, what would you charge?
