Mark Lane and Margueritee Oswald on CBC

At 3.24, Margueritte Oswald says she saw news footage of her son Lee saying ” A President? Who said anything about a President!?”

Thats not what Lee said. Assuming she wass referring to the midnight press conference… what was actually said was:

Reporter:

“Did you shoot the President?”

Lee:

“No, no one has accused me of that …. Yet”

Another reporter:

“You HAVE been charged with that”

Lee doesn’t say anything, he just glances away from the reporters…

I am not saying that Margueritte was lying ( about this) but it is an interesting example of witnesses mis-remembering important details
