I love taking jaunts into obscure locations out in the Texas hill country.

My most recent excursion (July 31st ) took me to the Waring General Store out in Waring Texas.

Its about a 45 minutes drive down I 10 from San Antonio. Its in an old historic gas station and general store.  I loved the old rustic feel about the place.

It was “Wednesday Steak Night.”

The food was fantastic. Texas sized portions and cooked to perfection.

I really enjoyed the songs by local musician Isaac Jacob.
