I was about to compliment it on being an original story. And then it turns into a repeat of the first Rocky.

And (spoiler)

the unrealistic idea that pro boxing would let someone with no experience have a title shot as his FIRST EVER fight?!?!

We are left to assume that the new guy probably did some boxing training in prison, but we never see it.

Nor how pro boxing agreed to this nor where the new guy got his trainers/ corner men, etc..
