Stop motion horror movie

Just saw a seriously weird,creepy, scary disturbing horror movie about a stop motion animator whose increasingly horrific animated characters start to come to life. NOT a good movie for kids!!!!

I’m a little confused by the symbolism and wanna discuss it with someone who has seen it…
