If you have to put the copyright symbol on your screen, for video editing or even in just a text document…. You can just type (C)

OR…

if you want the copyright symbol itself,

©

Hold down the ALT key on the left of your keyboard, (probably to the LEFT of the space bar) and then hit the 0169 keys on the numbers pad on the right side of the buttons.

Remember, it is ALT Zero One Six Nine

if you accidentally hit the “O” key it wont work.

I needed to put a Copyright symbol in the credits of a video project I was creating in Adobe After Effects.

Typing in Alt 0169 didn’t work for some reason, it didn’t give me the ©

I needed a workaround solution.

I typed the end credits in a separate text document, including the Copyright © symbol.

Then I COPIED and PASTED the text into the Adobe After Effects TEXT tool.

Why couldn’t I just type the © symbol in After Effects? I don’t know. Maybe there’s a trick I don’t know about. But copying and pasting the text didn’t take that much more time.
