The original Star Trek technology

The 1960’s Enterprise Sickbay had the patients vital signs on computer screens. Standard today. Sci fi speculation in the 1960’s.

And some of the click-ey buttons on devices was identical to buttons on TVs, radios and many other appliances.

The tri-corder and the communicator were fantasies that combined into the smart phone.

Supermarkets and hospitals have automatic sliding doors that were fiction in the 60s

When it comes to Strange New Worlds, I’ve always struggled with how much they should and should not modernize the Enterprise sets, especially if it’s supposed to be BEFORE The Original Series.

Theoretically, the Enterprise bridge should be identical, if not even more primitive than the TOS bridge.

Remember when Picard went onto Scotty’s holodeck bridge? Or when Archer went onto the “more advanced” TOS bridge?
